A signing ceremony was held with the senior management of Ocean Fair International and RAQ commemorating our partnership on building what is the United Arab Emirates’ largest cold storage ammonia plant room.

The successful completion of this project hinged on our expertise in designing superior steel structures, enabling the project to progress efficiently and swiftly. Attached is an initial depiction of the steel model we meticulously designed.

Ammonia plants are often considered a better option for cold storage because they are more energy-efficient and have a higher coefficient of performance (COP) than other types of refrigeration systems. Ammonia has a very low boiling point, making it an ideal refrigerant for low-temperature applications. Ammonia systems can also achieve temperatures as low as -40°C, making them suitable for freezing and cold storage applications.

Another advantage of ammonia systems is their scalability. Ammonia systems can be designed to meet the specific needs of the cold storage facility, whether it’s a small or large operation. Ammonia systems can also be incorporated into existing systems, allowing for easy expansion as the facility grows.

The auspicious event was attended by Mr. Freddy Sidhwa, his family, and colleagues from OFI, along with RAQ’s key representatives, Mr. Rami Al Qaisi, Mustafa Kandori, Kareem Haider, and Ahmad Rababah. This milestone marks the beginning of a remarkable journey towards strengthening the UAE’s cold storage infrastructure, catering to the growing demands of the nation.
